The blowby idea makes sense! I also had blowby where the exhaust manifold meets where the pipe starts to curve. I figured it was about time to pull the head and inspect and at least change the head gasket. I also repaired the threads while the head was on my bench.

Would the spark plug blowby happen faster while hitting the accelerator?
