740 stalls while driving, starts up in a few minutes 700 1991

My '91 740 stalls when driving. Car has 198,000 miles. Has not hapened in 5 months since I replaced the fuel pump. No indication stall is coming. All the engine ligths come on and car limps to the side of the road. A few minutes later it starts right up as if nothing happened> Any ideas???
