Reusing Head Bolts? 700 1986

incindentally, I've been told recently by a very trusted mechanic that the head will 'almost certianly be cracked'.

My father and I will be doing the head gasket replacement, and he's convinced we're going to have to get a new head.

Does anyone have experience with 'reusing' a turbo head? Will it indeed 'almost certainly' be cracked, or is there a good chance the machine shop will clear it?

Right now the plan is to forget about the head I'm pulling, and start preparing a 'new' (from another B230) head for a swap (which will include changing the cam and valves, which sounds like a ton of work and $$ to me)

The head, due to coolant retention problems (bad rad, blown heater hoses, etc) has been heated at least twice in the last year.

Any advice would be appreciated, as this is looking like an expensive job at the moment!
