Head gasket On B21F 200 1979

I'm in the process of bringing back to life a 79 245dl with a B21F and M46.
when the car is started from cold it produces alot of water at the tail pipe for a long time even after it's fully warmed up but since it is cold and such I figured it was ok but now just now i realize that the spot where the tailpipe was droping "water" left a mark and it has not gone away for a few days :(.
Is this my head gasket also the P.O. sayd that he had to put in antifreeze every now and then.
the car runs great otherwise, very strong "for a B21F".
If it is a headgasket how big of a "job" is this? how may hours? any words of advice on this?
And there is never any smoke just water driping.
oh and the car has 220k miles.

Thanks.
