Motor change in '92 244 200

Well, despite my pleas to check it weekly, my oldest son ran his '92 244 dry of oil and the engine seized. I'm going to replace it with either an engine from a '90 244 or with one from a '91 244. Both are good motors with about the same mileage. All things being equal, I'll probably go with the one from the '90, because I broke an exhaust downpipe stud when removing the '91 motor.

Are there any major sensor/connector differences between a 1992 244 motor and 1990 or 1991 222 motors?

The downpibe stud still has plenty of shoulder protruding from the manifold. I could easily weld a nut to it or even thread it to try to remove it using the 2-nut method. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

PS - I found my black fender right here in Louisville.
