Did I just kill my AMM & No-start question... 200 1991

Sorry for the long rambling post:

So my car was stalling out about a minute after it started if I didn't start moving. If I tried to let it warm up it would die a minute later. When I try to restart it would turn over once or twice and then die. My friend (novice-volvo fan) said to pull the plug on the AMM and then try starting it. I think I left my keys in the ignition when I unplugged it and plugged it back in. Now the car won't even turn over now, I think my battery might be the cause, the battery is a no-name brand about 5 years old. Could it be the alternator causing it to die after being on for about a minute? All the idiot lights come on when I try to start it up. There are no check engine codes or errors when I checked. And did I do something bad to my AMM?
Any help in this is greatly appreciated.
