91 240 front speaker replacements tips? yes, i've checked the archives

If there's a blank post before this one I apologize for the accidental hit of the return key.
I picked up some 5 1/4" Pioneer speakers to replace in the front of my wife's 91 240 and I'm looking for any tips that may help me when I install.
I picked the Pioneers because they seemed the most likely to allow me to use
the stock grills, though the spacing of the mounting holes seems slightly
different. I'd like to avoid pulling the panels if at all possible but I will
if it's necessary. I have done alot of scouring of the archives but
couldn't fine quite was I was looking for.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
