grill surrounds 1800

1. Any surround will fit any model, the later ones made for the plastic grills don't have the tabs for screwing the early grills to them so they are not backward compatible without jury rigging, don't know if the plastic grills will fit the early surrounds but I strongly suspect they will.

2. You need all 6 tabs on the back to ensure a good fit, tighten the screws evenly kind of like torquing a head, the corners will come in.

3. Depends on if you are one of the "got to be like it left the factory" people. Personally I can't stand the "bar" type grills from the late 60s, I have an early eggcrate, a '65-6 stamped grill, and one of the later plastic grills (with proper surround) for my '67.
