OD not working 700

It is probably a non-functional OD relay, fuse or actual solenoid. My 740 T runs 2800 rpm doing 55 in third gear. This engine speed will definitely result in 16mpg or worse IMO.

Check the fuse, the relay, the switch, and finally lift the car and check the wire to the solenoid. This is a single solid wire that runs current and if it grounds, no OD. Mine dropped loose and rubbed through the insulation because of hte driveshaft. This stupid problem took me a week to fix.

As far as I know, the AW-71 has a locking torque converter- my turbo does, but it might not be the original tranny.
