Overheating Problem--Please help! 200

B21A = Canada? If you're overheating in Canada in December you DO have a problem! Like Trev29, I would bet on a clogged radiator. If it's the original, it has seen a lot of service. The 240 rad is easy to remove, then you can take it to a rad shop and have them take a look. Got mine rodded out and resoldered a few yrs ago for $85.

BTW - the thermostat cannot be installed upside down - won't fit. You put a new rubber seal in with the new stat did you? It's a pretty good design and doesn't need the 'stat housing and head surfaces to be perfect to seal up. But they can collect enough scale and crud to cause a problem. Remove, scrape clean, including the seal recess in the housing, and reinstall.
