My cute little head light wipers S90-V90

Okay, first off - a big happy holidays to all of you. Murphy's law, on my 95 960 the head light wipers have always worked. It might be b/c I don't use this option too much. The other day, as a joke, I was showing them off to a good friend of mine - and they stuck, right in the middle position. Checked fuses and gently tugged on them - nothing. Then driving home I played with the wiper stalk a bit and they parked fine. And (of course) now they appear to work. What should I do? Should I leave them alone - disconnect them? Is it hard to just unplugg them? I don't want to fumble with removing the whole headlamp assembly.

Also, with the key to run, engine off I hear an audiable hum and can feel the viberations from the throttle body - is this normal? Could it be just the IAC valve?
