Shocks/Struts Question 200

I had new shocks and struts put in last year (unfortunately, I guess, I used Midas but at least I should be under warranty). When I go over rough roads (potholes, etc) I can hear a loud bump in the right from section. I have another friend who has the same year & model (1990 240 sedan) and we both drove each others car to find out the differences. He hears the bump in my car also (not in his), although he's jealous of my brakes. My question is: Does anybody have any suggestions about what I should look for/ask about when I take this to the shop?
