WTB: Radio for 444 444-544 1958

Hello again everybody. I hope everyone is ready for the holidays ahead! [I'm not.]

Anyway, I am on the hunt for a radio for my 1958 PV 444 (44408). 6V of course as I do not plan to convert to 12V. I have searched high and low [including past Brickboard forums] and although I have found some tips, there is nothing firm. I have also sent off a few requests to some antique car radio dealers and await their responses. Also, nothing been on eBay matching what I want, for some time now.

First off, I would like to know what radios came with the PV444-L (or similar) models? From my accessory book I can see that there was an option to obtain a Philips model NX 524 V or 624 V. I have also heard that the Bendix radios were possibly installed, but not sure what models.

I would love to find an original 6V Volvo-installed radio, working or not, that will fit the standard opening. [See below.] If this is not possible, then the next best thing would do; a radio like an original 6V Volvo-installed model. And if this is not possible, then something that fits and looks good - again, working or not.

Can anyone help?

Happy holidays!
