swapping an AT for a Manual on a '87 240 wagon

Hello all,

I tried searching the archives for this one and I got pretty close but not quite. I have an '87 wagon with an automatic. I've never owned an AT and the only reason I bought this one was because of the price. I saw some ads for manuals of the same vintage and it got me to thinking about doing a swap.

anyone done it before (I'm sure!)? What parts common to both versions do I need to swap? I found lots of references to the 700 series and having to get a manual's drive shaft, is this so with the 240's? How 'bout the clutch pedel, is there a mount for it in the body of an AT? Which trans should I look for?

Thanks
W-
