Headlight lens problem. S90-V90

Hi everyone,

I got a new passenger's side headlight lens for the V90 for Christmas (the one on the car was cracked). So, tonight I went out to our garage, removed the headlight assembly (that was interesting) and proceeded to replace the lens. Upon reinstallation of the assembly I realized that the new lens is different then the driver's side lens and also different then the old lens. The 'lines' in the glass are different. It works fine and seemed to reflect pretty much the same pattern on the garage wall, but it is different. The new lens is the same brand as the old lens (Valeo I think) and it says "Volvo" in the lower right corner just like the old lens, but it has no markings saying "DOT" like the old lens. It just has some numbers and "E2" in a circle. Also, the white paint on the top of the new lens does not have a unpainted square in it like the other lenses. The new lens came from FCP Groton and was ordered for a '98 V90. Are the European lenses different then the North American lenses? Is this a European lens? I really don't want to send it back since it's already installed and I'd have to pay shipping. I was considering contacting FCP, telling them the problem, and asking if I could maybe have a discount on a driver's side lens so that they would match. Or maybe I should just leave it alone and not worry about it, although I know the not matching will bother me. Also, if this is a European lens, maybe it's better then the NA lens? Thanks in advance for any comments, etc :)
