Thanks, lots of great info.
From re-reading the VClasics articles, it sounds as if there are some "issues" with the rear of the 67 in particular - though that may be the sedan... dunno. I'll probably need to find a welder with some courage to adjust the connections correctly.
I can live with having to run more brakelines. The original early 67 single-ciruit brakes are poor. It stops, but I'm fearful of the day when it doesn't... or when my booster fails... Either way, I'm going to change the brakes. The Rolling article that I read mentioned cutting the brake/clutch housing out of the firewall and installing it in the recepient Amazon. Any thoughts on this?
I was aware of the mods necessary to use the short shifter. I can live with the long shift... but shifting on the return to home trip was a dream. So much nicer than any of the manual shifts I've ever had (volvos included). So, drive tunnel mods are prefered but I can live with the long shift setup for a while.
AC Compressor. I saved the compressor from my 1986 740. It should be a better alternative if it will fit.
I had the tank out recently to clean and seal the exterior, I thing adding a return line bushing would not be too difficult.
