CR-814 radio panel lighting 900 1992

Hey all,

My '92 960 blew its instrument panel fuse (fuse 10, a 5-amp affair) twice...both times when hitting a bump. The fuse looks like the wire inside failed because of the impact. That said, I couldn't find anymore of that particular size, so I replaced with with a "Z" style fuse of the same size and specification (5A, fast blow).

That said, I noticed that my radio's backlight lights are on all the time (the green ones that illuminate the dials, buttons, etc)...even with the radio off. All the other instrument panel lights/ECC module lights respond normally. That said, could there be a internal to the radio/amplifier? I notice the wiring diagram says there's a relay that controls the lighting for the radio. Where is this relay? Has anyone seen this problem before? To further troubleshoot, should I disconnect the radio, the amp, or both?

Thanks!
