hood interchangeability 700

Most body shops will replace a bent hood because it's more cost effective. You would have to paint it whether replacing or repairing (unless the stars were in perfect alignment and you found a good condition donor in the right color, has never happened to me!) the damaged part. They're too easy to bolt on and off compared to the time to perform a quality repair.

BTW, there are loads of straight hoods in the boneyards. You don't have a 760 or 960, but for those that do, remember that the wagon hoods are aluminum if you ever need a replacement. Saves a bunch of weight.
