What does this warning light mean? 700 1989

An orange warning light lit up that isn't in my owner's manual or in the FAQ. It is a circle in parentheses. Inside the cirlce are a mini bowtie or axle with wheels then 4 dotted lines. (O)
It is located directly under the trip odometer reset button on my 89 760 Turbo wagon.
It lit up as my battery was dying while I was driving on the highway. The battery warning light didn't come on at all.
