Doh! Brakelights are gone now

Hi dfung,
Are all 3 brake lights out or just the 2 tail brake lights, leaving the center brake light in side the rear window working? If just the two tail brake lights are out try removing the bowtie looking bulb holder assemblies from the back of the tail light lenses. Locate the brake light bulbs on the bowtie and follow the path of the brakelight conductor. It will take a 90 degree turn under another conductor to which it is supposed to make contact. Over time this must vibrate itself loose. My fix was to take a hammer and slotted screwdriver and slam the 2 conductors together with a couple of sharp blows. Worked wonderfully and was immediately followed by a new inspection sticker.
I suspect this is common since I had picked up a new bowtie from the pick n' pull and it had the same problem as the one I already had which prompted me to look deeper. Hope this helps.

Dan
