Calling anyone who has done the T5 conversion..... 140-160 1971

use 140 crossmember, move it back, to about the automatic tranny holes,I found the auto holes were not right for my liking, redrilled holes in crossmember and welded strap on crosmember,(see last part of post) bolt to the t5 a angle iron wide to have some meat by the holes, with angle open to the back? bolt the 140 tranny mount and angled brkt to it. drill hole in volvo crosmember, use this hole location up /down- for up/down alingment/clearence, the rear tranny mount should be built to use compresion on the rubber mount, not shear. ie. weight of the engine and tranny compresss the rubber mount. adjust by location of the crossmember foward-back. my .02 worth
