mileage on your B30's... 140-160

So ive got my 72 164 running pretty well. Im starting to really feel
for that b30. That whole car is just a masterpiece. My only real concerns
is I live in Northern California and the gas prices up here will curl your
hair. As I recall with my 122, which got mediocre gas mileage when I bought it,
adding a K&N Filter and modernizing the ignition via a MSD box, improved
dramatically. Other than these ideas, which Im in the process of implimenting,
what have you guys found to improve your mileage on these beasts?

What kind of mileage did you find yourselves getting? Its such a lovely
car; Im almost afraid Im finding myself in a similar situation where I was
offered an incredible deal on a wonderful 72 Mercedes 280 SEL, with a lovely
4.5 L V8 which got an abissmal 14 miles to the gallon, but oh what a ride
it was...
