Ignition switch? 700

Hey everybody,

To recap from a previous (months-old) post, I was driving along one day, when all of a sudden, the radio, fan, power mirrors, power seats, and windshield wipers stopped working. I still have power windows and all lights.

Some of you suggested that it might be the ignition switch, and the only way I was told to test it was to experiment with the position of the key until I find a 'dead spot' or until everything comes back on. If that happens, it's a bad ignition switch, and that's cheap and easy to replace.

I took the suggestions and played with the key on more than one occasion, but to no avail. Is there any other way to test the ignition? Preferably something that would give me a definite "yes it works" or "no it doesn't". I've got the dash apart for a heater core replacement, I'd prefer to get all that taken care of before I put everything back together. Just trying to rule out those problems.

Thanks for your help once again, BB.

Oh--also, are there any specific grounds I should check? And where are they? I haven't seen anything that looks problematic, but I don't know the grounds at all, and am probably overlooking something.

Thanks :)
