Crumbling wiring 700

As many of you probably already know, my '84 760 Turbo needs a new engine wiring harness. I just found one on Ebay for $125 and it's on its way to me from California. It's one of the updated versions. Anyway, while repairing some oil leaks at the oil filter mounting base ( and oil cooler lines) I managed to break off the two wires going to the alternator. The ones that I broke are the exciter wires. Their insulation was gone anyway. My question is: Where can I run new wires from to temporarily fix the problem until I get my new harness? I need to drive it for at least a week like this. I'm guessing I could run a wire from one of the gray harness plugs, but I'm not sure where the two exciter wires come from.

Thanks in advance.

Dave
