Chirping Clutch 140-160 1971

This clutch went in new about 3k miles ago, and I'm used to having my clutches last more than 100K miles. I'm getting a chirping sound from it that comes and goes, but is getting louder and staying longer. It is there in all gears and goes away when I step on the clutch pedal. The rate and the volume of the chirp increases with acceleration. It's not there at idle or when I raise revs in neutral. I'm thinking throw-out bearing, but find it a bit hard to believe that a bearing this young should fail. Is there anything else that could cause this phenomenon?
