ECU Compatability? 1800 1971

To throw some more into the mix, I purchased a ipd box and ECU from ebay some time ago. When checking the Bosch part numbers of the ECU, I discovered that the ECU was actually from a '72 or '73 164E (0 280 001 009). No idea why, and I have never talked to anyone who knew of an ipd-sold adjustable ECU for a 160, but it was definately original, with the lead shot sealing it and everything. It could have been as simple as a misread number or whatever, but it did have 6 of many things where the B20 box had 4. I eventually transferred the ipd mods into a B20E box (p/n 0 280 000 017) and drive with it now.
