signal switch/OD switch 120-130

Hi Tom,

I've repaired two turn signal switches for my 122 and as a result have, at the very least, figured out how they work and how to make them work again. I would advise against using this switch as I don't think it is possible to modify it to safely stay on (and the switch internals are pretty light weight and would most likely fry). To modify the switch to remove the self cancel properties, you would have to remove (or grind off) the tabs that extend below the base of the switch when it is in the on position (they are attached to the two springs on the outside of the switch). If the internals are not perfect, then the switch will pop out even without the tabs.

What I would do is find an alternate switch that is designed to be on/off and modify the stalk to accept a 122 style stalk. You should be able to find something at an auto supply centre that will fit the bill.

Regards,
Craig
