All Brake Lights not working--should be simple BUT!! 900 1993

My 940T BRAKE LIGHTS will not function. Fuse is good, bulbs are good but there is NO POWER to Brake Light SWITCH. According to the wiring diagram these wire should be HOT ALL THE TIME but there is No Power to the switch. Since that should be the case, I'm thinking the Bulb Failure Sensor should not make any difference since there's no power coming to the Brake Switch in the 1st place.
Can I just run a wire directly from the Postive side of the battery to supply the power to the brake light switch and be OK. Or is there other simple solution??

Thanks For any insight or tips on this problem

Bill N.
