waterpump replacement difficulty level 120-130

Could be a few things:

Given the belt is shared, and the brackets on accessories can wear out, you may have belt alignment issues. Give it a good eye over- the generator bracket is notoriuos for this. If worn, replace with new / or have a local machine shop re-bush it.

Is there a clatter at all associated? Fiber timing gears failing is very common.

I'd drop a tid bit of oil on every shaft and see if it improves with each item lubed - Generally if the pump were wearing out, you'd have a leak.
