Door Hinge Lubrication 900 1995

The doors on my 960, particularly the passenger side, are squeeking. I bought some lithium grease, sprayed it liberally after quickly cleaning the hinges. The squeek is getting worse now. I checked the FAQ, and that other spring doesnt appear to be the problem. When i went to lube the hinges, there was already some dark grease on them. I wiped off what i could before spraying. Is the reaction between the dark grease and the lithium grease causing more friction than before? Thanks, and any recommendations for kinds of grease and what to do would be great.
