Installed new radio now power antenna won't work 700 1991

My son took his Christmas money and bought a new radio/CD player/MP3 to replace the original radio in his 1991 740 wagon (nonturbo). When installing it, he discovered in the manual for the new unit that it would not activate power antennas. Not wanting to replace the new unit, does anyone know of a work around that would permit manual operation of the antenna with a switch?
