Cold start 140-160 1975

If it's Thursday here, it must be Friday down there :)
I ordered a new fuel pressure regulator yesterday from FCPGroton. After pulling the cold start injector and getting a very "large" conical spray on my shop cloth, I have decided that the fpr has lived too long. The cost for a pressure gauge at my local auto parts store was almost $60US, an OEM fpr cost $103US. Darn, I hate to buy parts when I don't know for certain if they will be needed to fix a problem. But it does have a new ECT sensor, the old one being black with age :)
My map sensor appears to be functioning, all vacuum lines are clean. I advanced the timeing just a couple of degrees to get the car to run longer than 2 minutes, but the garage full of gasoline odors hurt my eyes so bad that I had to shut down the car anyway!
I will let everyone know if the fpr solved this latest problem. It would be nice,

Klaus
