Will my 1989 230 f engine work in my 1993 940 turbo the 230FT engine? 900 1993

Can certainly be done, gets dodgy if you want to keep the turbo though. Check out the Turbobricks website for info on how to run the necessary oil lines to make it work on a non-turbo block. Main differences: the turbo has dished pistons to lower the compression ratio, so more boost can be run without detonation, and it's got the block bored to accept the turbo oil return line. The higher CR of the non-turbo pistons will mean you'll have to be careful about how much boost you run, or you'll probably blow it up. If you put it in without the turbo, change the ECU and injectors to the non-turbo ones, and bypass the injector resistor pack. Perhaps it's easiest to just use the harness from the wagon if you go that route.
