No reverse lights, NOT the switch. 200 1991

1991 244 with an M47.

I have no reverse lights. The switch works fine (Tested using resistance, 0 ohms when in reverse). I'm just not sure power is getting all the way to the lights.

There is a black wire and a blue wire. The blue wire connects to the fuse box. the black wire disapears into the dash, near the ignition. Is it possible that this black wire connects to the ignition? The wire diagram in the Bentley manual does not show two wires. They also do not show what happens to the black wire.

On the tail light...

I can test the lines coming into the tail light and one of them does jump op to ~12v when reverse is engaged. But only when one end of the probe is connected to the left most black wire on the driverside plug, and the other probe is on the copper strip of the curcit board.

I am so confused...
