My question has to do with the possibilities of sheet-metal work and what's in the realm of fixable. I have a partsy-beater 122 that was at one time before I owned it smacked in the back on one side such that I just noticed that there is a definate "kink" in the line of the back fin where it starts to merge into the rest of the body, up near the rear-window.

I am wondering if your average or high-tech body-shop could possibly have some kind of technique for pulling this kink back out, somewhat like a frame-aligning system or something? My knowledge of body work and such is very limited, so I just don't know if this is possible to fix or not. The car seems to drive and roll just fine, so it doesn't seem like the frame is majorly out of whack. Perhaps the only way to fix it (but I hope not) would be to cut out the whole rear quarter and weld a new replacement in place?

Does anybody have suggestions as to what I should do to proceed with figuring out if this is fixable?
