TPS electrical connector fouled by oil - normal? problem? 900 1993

Hi All,

In the course of troubleshooting various and sundry idle problems on my new-to-me 1993 944T (beware: long thread), I pulled the electrical connector off of the Throttle Position Sensor and found it full of oil. I cleaned it and the terminals on the TPS with contact cleaner and put it back together, but I'm wondering if this is a sign that the guts of the TPS are also fouled and I need a new TPS. Or perhaps this is normal? Thanks all!
