Alternator Upgrade Question 120-130

I'm thinking of ditching the generator in my 1966 122 and replacing it with an alternator. I was wondering what experiences folks have had with either (1) replacing it with a 140 series alternator using the bracket that IPD sells (at least I think they still sell it), or (2) replacing it with the AC Delco alternator using the kit Swedish Embassy sells. If there's a third option out there, I'd love to hear it.

If you went with the 140 alternator route, how hard is it to find a 140 series alternator in good shape these days? With either one, how difficult was the swap out? Any tips/hints for success?

Thanks.
