With headlights, idle=500RPM, without, idle=750-800 700 1986

1986 740 Turbo AW71. Was idling rather rough so I recently replaced plug wires, plugs, cleaned throttle body and replaced throttle body gasket. Also did Seafoam treatment on top end. Now, I notice that when I have my headlights on when I'm sitting at idle the RPMs are right around 500. If I turn the headlights out, idle goes up to 750. Anything in particular I should check before changing distributor cap/rotor and possible distributor (because I was told that the hall sensor on the current distributor is quite worn)??

Thanks for your input.
