1987 740 Turbo +

Hi:
Our turbo disintegrated last night on the way home (294,000 km); threw oil over the place (onto the road and onto the exhaust) and drained much onto the road. Home on the towtruck :-(
I'm exploring whether to: a) Part out the car that I babied so long; b) Replace the turbo (I'll explore your site for suppliers); or c) turn the engine into non-turbo. Question: If I permanently remove the turbo, i.e. run the engine as a normal fuel - injected 4, what do I do with the pressure oil pipe? Should this be plugged-off to keep oil pressure on the internal engine components or simply directed into the turbo oil drain back into the block?.
Thanks for any suggestions!
Paul
