Cleaning injectors fix very rough idle and no power? 700 1988

Starting the car the other day, the engine ran extremely rough, struggling to get to 1500 or 2000 rpm in neutral with lots of hesitation and shuddering (seemed ok over about 2000 rpm though). In drive, I could only get to 10 or 15 miles an hour. I'm guessing that the fuel filter failed and let a lot of collected junk run through the system and clog the injectors. I'm wondering, if this is in fact the case, would cleaning out the injectors (and replacing the fuel filter) do the trick, or will I need to work on all the components between the filter and the engine, i.e. fuel pump, pressure regulator, etc.? Right now the car is stuck at a gas station and I need to either have it done or fix it in the next couple of hours.
Thanks,
Bob
