Thanks to everyone 700

I have recently completed a refurbishment of a 1987 740 Turbo with 5 speed. I purchased the car with a blown headgasket and several other issues. This is the first car that i have worked on with fuel injection although I have restored several others including a 1976 BMW 2002, a !981 Fiat 124, a 1981 Volvo 240 with a Ford 302, and a 1966 122s. My daily car is a 1997 Dodge 1500 with 242,000 km which is burning gas like crazy and I wanted to have a good car that I could maintain and use to travel (recently retired).

I was made aware of the 700/900 FAQ and used it extensively during the last three months as I worked my way through the 740. It was unbelieveably helpful to me and I have ended up with a great car for very little money and lots of work. Thanks to all of you who contributed to the FAQ and the moderator who runs it. Everytime I had an issue, the answer was in the FAQ.

I continue to follow the forum and I hopefully may be able to help someone in return.

Gary
