Absolutely! Now I remember.

Thanks for the diagram Gary. Yes, I remember removing the bracket a few years back. The previous owner had the headpipe welded to the bracket. It was obvious that the bracket was torched sometime in it's life and someone did a crappy job welding to it. Not only was the weld broken, but the torching rendered the bracket unusable which is why I removed it.

Don't get me wrong regarding the quality of the Skandix system. It does appear to be a high quality product and time will tell. My comments were only about the sound and installation. I was a little surprised about the comment of the Starla system. I've always had a pretty easy time with it. The last one went after about five years which I thought was pretty good for New England. Wierd though, I could never get more than two years out of a Walker on my old Mazda pick-up.
