Year of flush rear window on 245's? 200

what year did volvo go to the flush rear window design on teh tailgate? I found a very nice little 89 245 that's really interesting me...they replaced all brake components (master cyl., block that all the lines feed into, calipers, rotors, pads) and the car doesnt even have any rust or dents! theire only asking 2900CAD for the car as well, but on the downside (to my preferences) it has auto, and no a/c :(
