While replacing the oil pan gasket... I broke off lower half of my hose from breather box....? 200 1986

I was almost done cleaning the gasket surface on the engine side of the oil pan when I bumped the lower section of hose coming down from the breather box and it cracked off onto the floor...

I was hoping to get that pan back on and put everything back together...

now I'm looking at a still attached, but significantly shorter, hose coming down from the breather.

should I replace this or should I just leave it as is and button it all back up?

I'll call AutoZone while I wait for thoughts,

thanks,

jack
