Middle (center) cable on fan is earth wired. Check first it (continuity between the middle connector on fan and chasis - with engine off), on my case some time ago the screw it was attached was removed (on middle on engine works) and the wire was misconnected after it.

On the other side, a cleanning and oiling of the fan engine is on order if the thing "screeche". The gadget is very durable and resistent, probably without maintenance on many, many years. Remember tag the wires for later reinstall.
