444 Stainless Wheel Rings 444-544 1958

Hello everybody.

I recently purchased some wheel rings for my PV. I purchased one from Mark Hershoren and received it last week. It seems to be "original" and has a "JOS" marking (see image in red below) on the tab to the left of the valve stem indentation (when looking at the ring from the rear).

I then purchased three from Hugh O'Boyle. One of the three had the JOS marking and the other two did not. Also, the two that did not seem to be ever so slightly smaller than the third.

Any ideas which is ring is proper for the 444? Also, what does the "J0S" stand for?

TIA (thanks in advance)
