A little spark by contacting the outside of the ABS unit probably didn't do anything (you're lucky your wrench didn't get welded in place, though). The current probably ran over the outside of the unit to a ground point, rather than internally.

The ABS system is supposed to do a self-check diagnosis -- if you don't get any warning light that stays on after you start up and drive off, all's probably well.
