Passenger side mirror (manual) replacement/parts - '91 740 700 1991

Hello all,

Been searching a bit and looking at the FAQs, but still have a few questions.

My '91 740 has had it's passenger side window brutally punished twice - once I pulled out of a lot in NYC without seeing an old telephone pole on the passenger side. That cracked the mirror and destroyed the front outer casing, but it still worked. Then the missus swiped a big traffic drum (those orange and white things) and that bent it the other way - now it cannot be adjusted at all into the right position.

Inspection is coming up, so I assume that I'd fail without a functioning mirror.

So what am I looking for? I see a page or so of results on Ebay, but none specifically for a '91. What range of model years can I pick from? Mine is also manual, and I assume not heated, and many on Ebay are power... If it's prewired and I could find a switch, I'd power the passenger side since it's impossible to adjust manually while driving.

Lastly, any details on how the replacement procedure? I think it's done from inside, and I saw the door panel removal instructions, but I know nothing beyond that...

Thanks for any tips...

Charles
