Bazooka Tube in a ’85 760 (need advice) 700

Anyone ever done this? I need some tips on where the best location would be to run the power through the firewall. I would like to use an existing hole if possible. “The Volvo” is now a classic car and I don’t intend to take a drill to it.
They say the tube itself should be installed behind one of the wheel wells in the trunk. I took a measurement and I don’t think it will fit right. I also don’t want to lose that storage space. I was thinking I would mount it up on the shelf behind the back seat facing the passenger tire. Sound like a good plan?

Thanks in advance,
Tim
