Headlamp Wiper Motor 900 1997

I have noticed lately the headlight wiper on the driver's side will occasionally stop in the middle of the light during a cycle especially if you cycle the WS washers more than once. (Pretty normal during the winter.) Other times it will work fine and park where it's supposed to. It almost seems as if some protective circuit-breaker or relay is kicking during the cycle, because a little while later, the wiper will be parked back in it's normal position --even though I have used the washers--!. Any thoughts here?
Thanks!!
